I live in a town that is a weekend wedding village. So many wedding parties come to take their pictures here that the school parking lot gets filled up with limos and buses waiting for the return of those same wedding groups. I like to drive through town at least once on Saturday so I can count brides. I have seen it all. But I have not seen a red wedding dress. Not in ten years of scouting. So you can imagine my reaction when I saw this couple at the Fountainebleau Palace in France. I assumed it must be a photo shoot of some sort. But it was clear after observing the couple for a while that they were indeed just a normal pair getting married.
We also spotted this bride in Paris. This photo location seemed a little precarious to me. I was nervous for the bride perched here on this cement block. Later I saw that she was wearing running shoes under that dress.
Finally, a day or two later at the huge department store in Paris I saw their wedding section was full with red dresses! Ah. An early trend. No doubt their will be red wedding dresses in North America next year.
Speaking of red, what do you think of this little number?
I didn't dare go into John Paul Gaultier's store in Paris. I was definitely not dressed for such an adventure. But I did admire the windows.
Happy Sunday friends!
