My Blogoversary!

I can't believe I have been blogging for five years. I was so sure it had only been three that I had already gathered "three" images for this post. Then I read my first blog post. December 14, 2005.

Claudine Hellmuth is the reason I started blogging, so it is no surprise that my first entry featured a picture of the Christmas collage Claudine made of my two best friends, Shadow and Shamus. Both these puppies are gone now. I am so glad I can post this image with joy. I have shared a lot of happy moments on this blog and a few very sad ones.


Here I am five years later with some amazing readers and a daily incentive to make a blog post that friends and strangers might enjoy.
I like to be the blog people visit with their morning cup of coffee.
In the last five years I have also encouraged a lot of friends to start their blogs. Blogging keeps me in touch with people who I might not have had daily or even monthly contact with in the past. It is a small window into their world that I happily look through.

A little joke I have with my friends is that "I refuse to talk about anything you could have read about already on my blog...." I do post a lot. Being a daily blogger means 365 posts a year, so while I can't expect everyone to read every post....I do joke with them if they miss something good.

Today on my fifth anniversary I am grateful to my readers and friends who encourage me to keep on blogging. Especially my hubby, who is always my number one fan.
There is no doubt that I will celebrate a tenth blogoversary!!
